Hiekka Art Museum

The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions. The museum’s exhibitions are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building, accessible by stairs as there is no lift.

In addition to furniture, silverware and ethnographic artefacts, the main exhibition includes fine art from the 1630s to the 1950s, mostly by local artists such as F. von Wright, Munsterhjelm, Gallen-Kallela, Edelfelt, Halonen and Enckell. Tampere artists include Gabriel Engberg, Kaarlo Vuori, Lennu Juvela, Tauno Hämeranta and Kauko Salmi.
