Museum Milavida: The Nottbecks – Cosmopolitans of Tampere

The exhibition presents the glamorous and international lifestyle of the Nottbeck family, the owners of Finlayson cotton mill, who lived in Tampere in the 1800s.

The Nottbecks were the cosmopolitans of their day, leaving behind a bustling industrial center for a small town. Their capital and international contacts were instrumental in the development of Tampere.
